Last time we were working on a customers Linux server. We found that web pages were infected with scripts that were causing their Windows client users to be redirected to phishing sites and asked for user credentials.
So we used samba and mapped the Linux drives in windows and scan it with Anti-virus and cleaned it. after a week we found the same pages were infected … we used iScanner and found the weak link and fixed it. The problem presided in the Linux machine which had some java scripts in “tmp” folder which bound themselves with index files causing infection to repeat!
